The Department of Humanities and Social Sciences at IISER (Indian Institute of Science Education and Research) Bhopal, India, is looking for applications for faculty positions in English Literature and Language studies.

The areas currently represented at the Department are English Literature, Critical Theory, and Linguistics. We welcome applications in these fields and other areas of English studies. We would especially welcome researchers working in the following areas: Digital Humanities, Cultural Studies, Gender Studies, Film and Media Studies, and English Language Teaching.

Applicants must have a consistently good academic record including a Ph.D. from a reputed university/institute, a First Class at the preceding degree, and the ability to undertake independent research and supervise research projects.
