Mr. Shajeem M. Fazal P.V (Roll No.2220802) a PhD student from the Department of Humanities And Social Sciences has been selected for the prestigious International Winter School titled ‘Pilgrimage as Placemaking in South Asia', to be held in Janakpurdham, Nepal, from 4th to 10th December 2024. The Winter School is a joint collaboration between Social Science Baha, Kathmandu; School of Oriental and African Studies, University of London; and the Heidelberg Centre for Transcultural Studies, Germany.

Dr Varun S Bhatta received a research grant from the Indian Council for Philosophical Research for the Philosophy of Science research on interference phenomenon.

Dr Anuparna Mukherjee (HSS) has been awarded a seminar grant from the Indian Council of Social Science Research (ICSSR) to host the International Conference on "Understanding the Dynamics and Diversity of South Asian Cities" at IISER Bhopal in early 2025.

Ms. Gowri Devi B (Roll No. 2010802) a Ph.D. student from the Department of Humanities and Social Sciences has been awarded the Contingency (Study-cum-Travel) grant by the Indian Council of Historical Research (ICHR).

Dr. Antara Chatterjee has been invited for a short-term research visit to the University of Leeds, funded by the International Academic Mobility Funding scheme, University of Leeds, U.K.

Dr. Antara Chatterjee has been selected for the Charles Wallace India Trust Research Grant, 2024-25.

Purbita Das (Roll No. 2010805), a Ph.D. student from the Department of Humanities and Social Sciences has been selected for the SSHM (Society for the Social History of Medicine) sponsored bursary to attend the "Health and Environmental Humanities Workshop" at the University of Bristol from August 14-16, 2024.

Dr. Renny Thomas, Dept. of Humanities and Social Sciences, has been invited as 'Taki Visiting Global Professor' at the Gallatin School of Individualized Study, New York University, New York.

Mr. Dipak Kr. Chakraborty (Roll No. 2210803) a PhD student from the Department of HSS has been selected to present his paper at the International Research Network for the Study of Science and Belief in Society’s 5th Annual Conference 2024, in Frankfurt, Germany.

Dr. Renny Thomas, Dept. of Humanities and Social Sciences, has been nominated and elected as a Fellow of the International Society for Science and Religion (ISSR).

Dr. Antara Chatterjee has been selected for the Strauss Visiting Fellowship at the Cedars-Sinai Center for Medicine, Holocaust and Genocide Studies at the Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, LA, USA.

Dr. Sreenath V. S., Dept. of Humanities and Social Sciences, has won the prestigious Meenakshi Mukherjee Memorial Prize for the year 2022 awarded by the Indian Association of Commonwealth Literature and Languages (IACLALS).

The book "Science and Religion in India - Beyond Disenchantment" has been released by Dr. Renny Thomas, Dept. of Humanities and Social Sciences.

Ms. Pratiti Roy (Roll No. 2010804), a Ph.D student from the Department of Humanities and Social Sciences, has been selected to present her doctoral work and participate in the Mnemonics Summer School 2023 organised by King’s College London and the University of Westminster, scheduled from 27- 29 June 2023 in London.

Ms. Pratiti Roy (Roll No. 2010804), a Ph.D student from the Department of HSS, has been offered full funding to participate in the Summer University program of the Central European University (CEU) scheduled from 10-21 July 2023 in Budapest, Hungary. The funding has been awarded by the Budapest Foundation and the OSUN.

Ms. Pratiti Roy (Roll No. 2010804), a Ph.D student from the Department of HSS, has been selected to present a paper and also awarded a Travel Grant at the 7th Annual International Conference organized by the Memory Studies Association, scheduled to be held from the 3-8, July 2023 at the Newcastle University in Newcastle Upon Tyne.

Ms. Srijita Biswas (Roll No. 2010807) a Ph.D student from the Department of Humanities and Social Sciences has been selected for a fully funded residential workshop on Advanced Manuscripts in Urban Studies held from June 9 - 14, 2023 at International Centre, Goa, funded by Urban Studies Journal and Economic and Political Weekly.

Ms. Srijita Biswas (Roll No. 2010807) a Ph.D student from the Department of Humanities and Social Sciences has received a travel grant from the Association for the Study of Food and Society (ASFS) to attend this annual conference from May 31-June 3 2023, University of Boston, USA.

Fazal P.V (Roll No.2220802 ) a Ph.D student from the Department of HSS has been selected to be part of the 5 days EHESS International Social Sciences Summer School, to be held from 3-7 July 2023,at Condorcet Paris-Aubervilliers, EHESS – École des hautes études en sciences sociales, Paris, France.

Mr K J Ananthapadmanabhan (Roll No. 2210804) a PhD student from the Department of Humanities and Social Sciences has been selected with full funding to present his research at the International workshop and conference on Science and Technology Studies (STS) and Religion, to be held on the 12th and 13th of June 2023, at the Université Paris Cité.
